2.2 Information from Third-Party Sign-In

If you choose to sign in using Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We use this information solely to create and manage your Hoity account. We do not access your Google contacts, calendar, or any other Google services.

2.3 Location Data

With your explicit permission, we collect your device's location to identify your nearest major city and suggest personalized content relevant to your area. Location is collected only when you use the "Find My City" feature — we do not continuously track or monitor your location in the background. Your city preference is stored on our servers to provide location-based content recommendations.

2.4 Automatically Collected Information

  • Device information (device type, operating system)
  • Usage data (features used, time spent, lessons completed)
  • Log data (IP address, access times, app crashes)
  • Analytics data to improve our services

3.1 Leaderboards

If you choose to participate, your display name and weekly XP score will be visible to other users on the app's weekly leaderboard. Leaderboard participation is entirely optional — you will be asked for your consent before your data is shared.

You can opt in or out of leaderboard participation at any time from the leaderboard screen or your profile settings. If you opt out, your scores will not be displayed to other users.

4. Advertising

We use Unity LevelPlay to display advertisements in our app. LevelPlay is an ad mediation platform provided by Unity Technologies that may serve ads from multiple ad networks.

4.1 Information Collected by Ad Networks

Our ad mediation platform and its partner networks may collect and process certain information to provide personalized or non-personalized ads, including:

  • Device identifiers (such as Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS)
  • IP address and general location (city/country level)
  • Device information (device type, operating system, screen size)
  • App usage information (how you interact with ads)
  • Installed applications (for ad targeting and fraud prevention)
